Message From our Co-Founders
When we were younger, we enjoyed spelling and learning new words. As we grew up, we found a love for playing Scrabble, crossword puzzles and word games. For the past 20 years in teaching public speaking, we have found that words are incredibly important; from writing speeches or essays, communicating through conversations or participating in interviews or podcasts.

We believe spelling promotes writing, reading and a stronger vocabulary for conversations. For the past few years, the latest EQAO tests show that 73% of primary students met provincial standards in reading while 65% met provincial standards in writing. As students get older, they will rely on spellchecking/proofreading programs so learning the fundamentals of spelling is paramount in the primary and junior years of life.

The art of spelling is like learning to play a musical instrument or becoming a confident speller, the more you practice, the better you become. Whether you write a letter or email, your communication results in a ‘connection’ and that connection can change your life. Just imagine the power of your words if they were spelled correctly. An Unknown quote says “Words cast spells. That’s why it’s called spelling. Words are energy. Use them wisely”. We encourage you to stand up and spell, because you only have one chance to make a great first impression. So, make sure your misspelling is not in your spelling.
